Casing question.
    #823594 - 08/17/02 12:23 PM (21 years, 7 months ago)

A guy I know has a cake that was birthed 5 or 6 days ago and all fruits have ceased growing. His theory is that the cake has become low on moisture. What he would like to know is, would it be too late to apply the PF style 'casing' at this point (without cutting off the fruits)?

Ok. Thanks. Bye.

if he doesnt cut the fruits off and cases it, it will cause contam within the casing.
Just pick the fruits off. dunk them and then case it. I used a perlite bottom layer and a very moist verm top casing layer, and it fuckin poked thru in less than 5 dayz..but it coulda been pure luck LOL

By casing he meant, set the cake in a cap full of damp vermiculite.. Not an actual casing. The fruits could be watched, and if they didn't grow, then be cut off. Sorry about the confusion.
