The same as any other cubensis.

PR is not a different species. It's a Psilocybe cubensis ok? Doh. Don't believe me? Look here if you want to see what PR does using the PF Tek.

If you want heavier crops and higher yields, case a bulk substrate. Try dung, straw, etc.

Of course, there are ways to spawn grain and straw and manure with Cubes. The B strain ( not B+) can fruit on woodchips (prob hardwood, but don't quote me on that) and other more tricky species to raise fruit on wood. But there is no tek as easy or as reliable for the inexperienced as the PF. That's whay it's always reccommended to start with that.
Hehehe right on, Mickey, guess you beat me to it!

In reply to:

Im out of BRF, so im thinking of using grass clippings and mixing it up, its really nice dry somewhat green, mostly straw looking though. Was gonna crush it into smaller pieces and mix that up with vermiculite. I also have white flour, but I hurd that doesnt work.

I believe I read a thread where Joshua was using grass clipping. Might want to do a search for that.

I think the only thing he has laying around is grass clippings.

Well I wouldn`t suggest using brf/verm.
Might just be my experience but I didn`t get good peformance from my brf casings.
I`ve now moved everything to straw/poo in bulk.
So far I think the PRs seem to really like the shit
Rhizomiphoric growth everywhere. In general though rye or millet inmo opinion are just way better than brf.
IF anything rather use pre-cooked brown rice.
Even toilet paper seems to work well.

PR has been kicking ass in BRF cakes for me.

Yeh Mickey, I did get a couple lovely shrooms and some seriously nice experiences had by a couple of my friends and myself.
But when it came to the crunch things just didn`t perform like I was expecting.
I had good conditions, clean , etc. but everything took a turn for the worst and after a crappy second flush I noticed some green.
So everything went outdoors ala moe's outdoor tek.
The rest of my PR jars went straight into bulk substrates and performance has improved drastically.
Even good growth as I said on Toilet paper/coir spawn.
The main thing I noticed with this strain of PR is that it doesn`t seem very well domesticated.
Different fruit, small, then big, bad flushes, different looking mushrooms in the same fruiting containe under the same conditions.
But I do believe they like straw and poo way more.

Also a while back I got a cake that suddenly started to look like someone had puked on it.
I cut it open and it was red, sticky and smelly in the middle.
That was my last attempt at brf/verm.
Granted I have still fruited about 2 casings reasently with brf/verm I`ve now deffinately decided millet or rye is way better.
I also don`t like vermiculite as a substrate mix.
No real reason, I just don`t like brf/verm anymore.

Next step for me is to clone the nicest fruit from the best flushing cake and then growing it out on agar. This will be used to knock up a quart or two of millet. I'm thinking of using my recently acquired Scott's 3-n-1, but I do have some good old fashioned horse poo too.
