Oops! I forgot about the line of topless show girls high-kicking through my living room and the hot hooker asleep in my bed.

I feel everything is sacred, please dont touch anything.
It's a rock.It will naturally erode. Human presence is just as natural a force as wind and water. Rock climbers aren't there with any evil/destructive motivation, they're just climbing a rock! Ban goats while your at it.
If they were building a minimall on it Id feel differently, minimalls are evil, obviously, exploiting humans and serving people worthless garbage to slowly degenerate the value of life and consciousness.
I feel for them, thier tower is being invaded, but what do you expect when you place value on something you just found in the wild that is everyone's to share?

Most people would think that was disrespectful, and in the current state of our country they would probably be described as terrorists and shot. Treat their monuments the way we would have people treat ours.

Respect is always a middle ground about ideas, just like freedom is a middle ground for living. Therefore if you agree with the idea: "Your freedom ends where my freedom starts" you mostly should agree the same in regards to respecting beliefs.
Of course you're free to climb it. As for myself, i think real freedom is not about actions, it's about decisions. In the end, you're free to do mostly anything, you just have to think about it first ...

Good point.
is it respect, as in to pay respect?
To not infringe upon another's beliefs?
Or is it Just making an effort to get along? etc etc...

I think that religious beliefs should be tolerated and unless these climbers were doing this since before the religious group made it sacred, then they should have the decency to find a different rock. Unless, the rock was made sacred after the climbers were climbing it, then they should keep on climbing.
Also, I think a better question is: Is it right to disrespect people just because their religious beliefs are different? I think not and assuming it's the Shroomery, I assume most answers will be the same.

Unless the tower is private property or is protected by city, state, or national law, it doesn't matter which religious group it is or how sacred they find it. The fat that some group finds itself religious and wants to make any old thing sacred is irrelevant.
