Help with buying a new PC..
    #8220447 - 03/31/08 04:40 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

Hi all, i was considering purchasing a machine from Boldata.com... I'm a bit hesitant because the company is not very well known. Their prices are amazing though. Does anyone know if they are legit.. or are there any other places i could buy a custom built p.c. for a much lower price than the big names?

The hardest part about building your own is getting a list of compatible, affordable parts to be assembled. If you want to get a custom one, take supra's advice. Use the parts you know you want and get them here...

newegg.com

Otherwise, look on newegg, ebay, buy.com and manufacturer sites for the best deal on a prebuilt computer. Also, google for online coupons, sometimes they can save alot.

a good bet is to get a barebones system off of newegg or tigerdirect, then add the other components you want, video card, sound card if you really need one, more ram maybe, but you are guranteed to get a compatible mobo, processor, ram, and cheap case.

peace

I'm not as crazy about newegg as most. They don't ship international. Often, they have the best prices on one item, and absolute horrid prices on the next. If you get all of your parts from newegg, you are going to be screwed on a handful of them to make up for the great deals you got on the rest. It is an interesting gimmick.

i'm in the process of building a new computer, and a couple of new sites I tried out are...

www.lagoom.com

and

www.moogr.com

both have good prices and seem to have good service so far, my order from lagoom should arrive tomorrow, newegg has the cheapest hard drives though.

peace
