Side effects include impulse gambling, stronger sexual urges, and a higher desire to eat. Fucking strangest side effects I've ever heard.

They must be pumping it into the drinking water in Atlantic City.

My Dad has major gambling issues because of it... And it's Mirapex... no L.
He spent ZERO dollars at a casino before he was on it. In the last 7 or so years, he's gone through $300,000+. It's fucked up. Thankfully, no weird sexual stuff... But slot machines make him insane, literally.
He takes it for his Parkinsons.

I saw a commercial for it today for RLS. Read a buncha stories of people losing hundreds of thousands at a time and gaining 50+ pounds in one month. That's so shitty.

I don't understand how a chemical can make you want to gamble.

I think it increases your dopamine, maybe? So it makes things more pleasurable. I think that's why it helps RLS too.

I just read about it on Wiki a little. They think it's because it has to do with a brain receptor in an area involved with reward.

Yeah... My dad takes dopamine for his Parkinsons, and the Mirapex is an agonist or something that makes his regular meds work better.
It is about the "reward". When I take him down to AC for supervised trips, it's likie watching a lunatic. "Gimme one more $20... just one more and it'll hit, I can feel it. Cmon, just one more $20."
It's kinda scary.
Fuck Mirapex.

Dopamine agonist. Whatever your vice is, the pleasure drive increases. So it might be food, sex, gambling, or spending.
