Terrarium close sleeping quarters. Is this Safe?
    #821654 - 08/16/02 06:38 PM (14 years, 3 months ago)

My terrarium setup is very close to my sleeping quaters. I'm using bubbler stone for humidity so air is constanly coming from the terrarium. Is there any safety things I should be aware of?

probably not, since we take the time to make sure our chambers are nice and clean. what kind of dangers do you mean?

well, whilst tripping many people will vouch to the magical properties of the sacred carpophores, but this is the first i've ever heard of them reaching out of the terrarium and grabbing you while you sleep.

just don't trip and fall over any electrical cords.

I understand that if a cake becomes infected there are some molds that are quite dangerous. If eveything is clean and looking good , do I need to fear any of the gasses released in normal growth, since the set up is close to where I sleep? Thanks for the reply.

Hehe. To answer you question: no, there is nothing to worry about. As far as I know, the major gas they emit is CO2, and unless your whole floor is a giant casing it's probably in far smaller quantities than would be admitted by another person in the room.
