is there a tek on dunking somewhere? i cant find it, maybe im blind.....is it a hatrd thing to do, or is it as simple as it sounds?

I'm done with drugs and growing mushrooms forever, or at least until the current drug laws change, its not worth the risk to me. the possible reason that you are not getting a lot of good answers to dunk tech question in general is that the jury is not out as to what is the best way to do it. there is huge room for experiment in just about every aspect of dunking. try asking a specific question.

there are miriads of dunk teks out there. hippie just invented a method that involves bleach. there's any number of supliments that are being added to the dunk solution. theres a good deal of controversy over what stuff does good and what does not. there are as many dunk teks as there are personal substrate or spawn or casing mix recipies.

uh, the dunk tek is pretty general.....

take cake post flush, or pre flush...
dunk in spring water for 12 hours (over night)
u can use a canning jar, a pot, your bathtub, your sink, a bucket, tupperware, a glass, just about anyting that will hold water.....

i dont think anyone wants to re-type everything that has been said about dunk teks so they just give short responses like "dunk the cake in water for 12 hours"
so do a search first, then ask more advanced questions......
people will be more than happy to give help with more advanced questions.. sure when i first came here i posted a few simple questions... but after i did ALOT of reading.. i find i dont need to post questions that much anymore..... cuz just about everything i need to know at this stage, has already been discussed in great detail...

hence i have under 20 posts....
that just goes to show you how smart everyone on here is, just about every noobie question ive wanted to ask about mushroom cultivation has been asked, and answered in detail...
my hats off to everyone here at the shroomery board...
(i just got compleating my 2 new cool-mist terraniums, and my glove box..... they friggin rock.... thanks everyone)

thanx dude.... i did a search, and after about 30 min of readin...."just dunk it" i felt the need to ask.....thats what this place is for right? anyway, us newbies are trying very hard not to upset you guys very much..... but we cant help it if we ask a question thats already been answered occasionally, or accidently put somethin on the wrong post.....nothin personal, and i understand that reading the same shit over and over can get pretty boring, but cut us some slack.......anyway, thanks alot for the info......i really do love this place.....peace dude!

yes. you can dunk and cold shock at the same time, in fact most do.

use the sterile container of your choice.
