Just got a phone call from my boss. He just scheduled himself, my coworker and myself to shoot a sex change operation documentary.
We've already interviewed the guy who will be getting the sex change. But we have to refer to her as a she now. She's been taking hormone therapy medication for over 8 years now and has large B-cups. I thought we would just be making a video about her talking about the ordeal.
I will be in the operating room dressed in surgical garb and will have a camera attached to me and I"m supposed to get closeups of everything. The surgery, the doctors, the instruments, the worried parents looking in through the windows.
What does everybody think of this? Good or bad? Would you do it?
I'm torn between thoughts of "wow, what an experiences and will look good on my resume and portfolio ( ) to "fucking christ, i'm gonna see a guy get his balls cut off and have his scrotum turned inside out and shoved back into him slightly and stapled down."
Oh yeah and when she's fully a woman, she's a lesbian.

I'm a multimedia producer for the college I attend. This documentary will be for the Psychology Department and will be entered in to a few documentary award festivals sometime next year. I also will be doing all the motion graphics, title cards, and music for the damn thing and my boss will get all the credit, as usual. LIttle does he know that I burn extra copies of everything I do and have been making a demo reel.
