Psilocybin Cubensis Spores
    #819970 - 08/16/02 10:18 AM (14 years, 3 months ago)

Would anyone be kind enough to please post a picture of some psilocybin cubensis spores? I have gone hunting, and I think perhaps that I found some spores, but I am not totally sure. This would be very helpful.

Thanks

What I found were very small white circular dots that looked much like the cap of a mushroom, but smaller. THey were growing directly on top of the pile of dung. I wanted to come here to get an answer before I try to go any further in my search.

Psilocybe cubensis spores are about 10 microns across, elliptical, and purple brown. For a sense of scale, that's a little bigger than an average red blood cell in your body. It sounds more like you've found one of the really small kinds of fungi which grow on dung. If you can get a photo to show us, it'd be interesting.

Happy mushrooming!

Could it be that these things are partially grown? Or should I just move on and forget about that? I have been able to find lots and lots of dung, but no luck at finding some shrooms yet. These cows are grass fed, and eat all the time, I was thinking that I should be able to find some here with ease, but it's been harder than I had expected.
