    #819394 - 08/16/02 06:19 AM (14 years, 3 months ago)

looks a little green huh?

guess my question is, can i let this go for the afternoon, then pick all that is not green? Then take it to the shroom GOD?
could i pick all that are green now, and hope it has not spread to much?

What are my options doc?

and what the hell happened to this little guy.???????

Please Doc give it to me straight. For being a first time father, i am and will not be upset.
First time doing any of this, and started with a casing......wanted to jump right in there.......think it was a pretty good first time at it

I cant tell by the pics but if it is green mold, you can kiss its ass goodbye. What I did when I had green was let the flush finish and pick all the ones that are no where near the green mold and made some prints for next round. I even ate them too and nothing bad happend. Just dont take any that are close or even in the green mold. Good luck next time.

Let it go my child. It is time to move on ,
that casing would want it that way.
remember the fun it has brought you.

well the ones that are in the first pick are pretty green, and as of last check have not spread to the ones sitting right next to them......

but they are clearly green......

here is the same cluster about 12 hours later.....no sign of green on the ones right next to it.....

the plan is to pick all that are not green in the morning(9hours from now)

question now is this.....if all the good ones are picked, bad ones pitched.....should the casing be pitched, or is there still a chance of a few more babies?

I wouldn't eat those either. The mycelial network carries nutrients throughout the entire cake/casing so my guess would be that if one area is contaminated, others areas will be, or could be already, you just might not be able to see it. I would definitely mix it with some straw and dung outside and try your luck with that, contams are hardly a problem at all outside (from what I have seen at least)

2 days later.....still no more signs of any green-blue spots....
