I was a small kid growing up, everyone picked on me, it's easy to take a punch and I want to get a fat lip or something before I commit to a fight, I've adopted a policy that works pretty well, you have 5 swings, if you cant put me down and make me want to stay there with those 5 then you need to run. most people cant land a punch, 2 of the people that did took me off my feet but I got back up
one guy nailed me in the jaw with a night stick, broke my jaw and put me on my knees but I stood back up, he backed the fuck up really fast... I didnt fight him, he figured he was out classed and didnt want anything more to do with me. I never saw the stick coming and my head was spinning, I dont know how I managed to get back up
fuck that shit pris. i work by the 1 strike rule. you can swing as much as you like, but if you hit me, it had better put me down.
girls get three strikes.

if you hit me several times and I keep saying "I dont want to fight", what's the story the cops will get from the witnesses how do you think the judge will view it when the 'aggressor' struck someone several times before he was forced to defend, what do you think the ruling will be if the defender puts the other in the hospital... it becomes a clear cut self defense case it also shows you that the other guy really wanted to commit
as for the 1 strike, if you take your 5 swings and miss, well, that's your problem, if you manage to land a punch, good for you I do occasionally get hit, it's not often though

I nabbed a parking space at the atlanta zoo, some guy though I cut him off, he put his car in park and waited for me to get out, it was my little brothers birthday, his grand parents and a bunch of family was there. I got out and started towards the table they were at, it brings me close to his truck, he started yelling from the minute I got out of the car, anyway I told him if he wanted a fight to get out of the truck, he opened the door and started to get out, I kicked the door shut. his leg was in the way
I do have days where I dont want to put up with it

i see your point, however in most places it doesnt matter if he hit you once or 20 times before you strike back, generally once you strike back its assault on both parts.
if there are witnesses it doesnt really matter either way. im pretty skilled when it comes to street fighting and martial arts, i am quick, and i can block and sidestep quite a few hits before one is landed, depending on how experienced the person is, they may never hit me, get tired of swinging and walk away.
all the while im dodging and sidestepping, im telling them that they had better back off before i defend myself. ill be damned if im going to take more than one hit though.

I try to walk, if you take that option from me then I'll hold my ground, if you take from me the option to remain passive, then it will be very unpleasant, I dont fight clean and I dont understand fair in a fight. I kick a man when he's down, I try to break ribsI have no issues wish breaking someones skull but I have to know that it's what they wanted.
I'm 5'6, easy pickin's for the guy that feels he needs to prove something. you have people killing their own families, their friends and people they've never even met. how do I know I'm not about to be a statistic. most people want to stop after the first salvo. I want to stop before words are exchanged

At least the OP knows where to find the prick that screwed him. And 1300 is a lot easier to pay back than 3000.
Darren Ditcham, may god have mercy when I find you.
