I have a bag of frozen morels from last years hunt, and I am curious if it is possible to create an agar culture from them. I don't know if they were dried before freezing or not. I'd like to know if it is possible to make a slurry with them for the agar culture. If so should they be dried? They appear to have frost in the bag, freezer burn?! I know they are dificult to cultivate, but all I want to do is develope the scarolet so I can have an outdoor bed. There are quite a few ideas out there on this subject but some are just that IDEAS! Can someone point me in the correct direction! Thanks Rick.
