cold air humidifier vs perlite

So i have a full cement room that is 4x4 and i made my own fc out of pvc that i made to fit perfectly into my little room. I am going to put holes on all of the sides of my homemade fc so i got the air exchange, but i was thinking since its going to be a pain to get a pan big enough to put in my fc so i can put perlite in. So would it be good if i just get a cold air humidifier and take some 1 or 2 inc polly pipe and get it to humidify my fc. which would be the better idea? If i used a cold air humidifier will there be any contams? and what are the downsides of using a humidifier vs perlite?

im planning a pvc/plexiglass FC, id love to see some pics of yours.
im using perlite on the bottom to catch moisture that falls, and it will release humidity into the air saving $ on my elex bill by lowering the amount of time the humidifier should have to cycle on.

how did you fasten the plexi on your fc? cuz i was thinking about that because i used standard plastic rolls but the plastic tares so easy that i want something a little more sturdy and i was thinking about vinal sheets. but if you have a sweet set up with plexi then i will totally try that. i still have a week or so probably before i have to stick my cakes in to fc.
Do you have any pics as well? I just left my camera at my girlfriends house. (Taken easter pics lol) But i will post as soon as i can

the pvc will act as the inner frame, to hold the trays.
The plexiglass will be cut in smaller sheets and will slide into grooves to make it easy to move around and provide fae. (top and bottom sheets)
the plexiglass will have picture frame type notches drilled into the corners and will simply attach/hang to galvanized screws in the PVC. (sides)
The front will be on a track or hinge of some type, I havent figured out how I want the door to be yet.
no pics, im only in planning stages.

haha genius.
I think i am going to get some plexi sometime this week then and tear off that paper thin plastic. Did you drill holes in plexi? Cuz you said you will make grooves for fae. Like what kind of grooves? lol sorry for the dumb question

What I guess I'm saying is, like tracks installed on the top of the pvc sides... just simple 1/4" lips that the plexiglass can slide into like a sleeve.

Ahhh, i totally get that now. I think i am going to have to steal your idea. Where did you get your plexi from? and would you recommend still putting holes in the side of the plexi for fae, or if i take the top off 2 or 3 times a day that will work the same?

Im just going to leave 1" or so between each sheet I "hang" to allow 3-4 thin stripped gaps for fae.

A would be the the screws to hold the plexiglass on the pvc frame, not shown, and b would be the stripped gaps for fae

best part is, if you wanna clean it just lift up on a sheet of p-glass and clean it. ame goes for moving...just lift it off its seat, stack em somewhere.. disassemble the pvc and bam.. done.
I'll probably glue some of the pvc pieces together but leave some unglued to break down in sections.
