Lucid Dreaming?
    #8175306 - 03/21/08 10:05 AM (15 years, 11 months ago)

Last night i was having lucid dreams, they scared the shit out of me!

I was dreaming i was in bed at my old house and i woke up in the dream and i felt as if i was completely in the dream, i thought it was reality, i felt myself panicking thinking what the fuck are the new owners of the house gonna think when they find me here in my old childhood bed!?

I also had a dream i was drinking a beer, then woke up in the dream and thought what the fuck i gotta wake up and go to work in an hour and im having a beer?

Is this lucid dreaming? Where your in the dream but your mind is in a wakefull state, it was like shock, "damn im actually here in a dream" there was no control which is what i think scared me a bit...

Yup, that's a lucid dream

I have the same problem though. The shock of me realizing that I am dreaming cause me to wake up. It's all about control. If you realize that you are dreaming, and keep your emotions in check, you can actually stay in the lucid dream state.

Edit: The more this happens the less shocking it will become. Lucid dreams have a higher chance of occurring if you keep a dream journal. Another method to increasing lucid dreams is to find an activity that occurs often in your dreams as well as real life ex. driving a car. During this activity, ask yourself, "Am I dreaming?" After this becomes a habit, you are likely to ask yourself the same thing during your dreams and voila!

I didnt really have the shick i was dreaming, well in a way, it was just shock like how the fuck did i get here, whats going on!?

It seems to be happening at the same rate that im awakening in my daily life, hopefully eventually ill be able to control my lucid dreaming like some people can!

Id like to know more about it, i used to think that dreams were just healing processes, healing the past through dreams, now they seem like more...

One night I was determined to lucid dream because of this movie I saw called Waking Life. I was in a store in my dream and I suddenly realized I was dreaming. I was blown away by the detail of the store I was in.

That is one way to tell if it's a lucid dream.

The amount of detail in it.

I had some lucid dreams...hell, I'd really call them "visions." It's just too fucking real to call them dreams.

hmm,
if you didnt know you were dreaming but just thought the
situations were strange, maybe it's close to lucid dreaming? My belief was that lucid dreaming is knowing you're dreaming? Anyone feel free to correct me on this..im new to the whole terminology if not the dreams....
Still, dreams are something else, arent they.I just signed up today because of my own experiences.I could care less about shrooms btw.. lol.

We dream in stages/faces..

For the first time, I feel like I might lack the proper words. But, I feel sure enough to post this.. Mind the not so well used definitions of the words, please?
