Planning stage(let me know what you think)

This is my first post (be gentle, bubba wasnt) and Ive got a couple of quart jars under my belt. So, Im not exactly completely in the dark when it comes to mycology.
I figured Id switch things up a bit by using WBS in Autoclavable bags. After that I was thinking about simply casing in a 60/40 Verm/Coir mixture. Id throw the mix into turkey pans, then encase it in a rubbermaid container.
Heres where Im having a little debate with myself and I cant decide between these three options
#1: Put the crumbled WBS into the pans, then case on top with the 60/40 verm/coir.
OR
#2: Mix the WBS with the coir(as a substrate), then case with straight up Verm.
OR
#3: Mix the WBS with the coir as a substrate and just mist lightly.
Im leaning towards the first option, but I was wondering if any vets would offer an opinion on the subject....
#3: Mix the

crumble the wbs into coir and wait for that to colonize...and pick up some peat moss and do a 50/50 verm/peat case ... you'll thank us later

Like the others to respond, I'd say use the coir as a bulk substrate. And as dizzy_jester said, maybe try a verm/peat casing layer? Around here, we can buy Jiffy Mix seed starting mix, which is pre-mixed verm/peat with a ph buffer already added, which I am very interested in trying myself. Definitely use a casing layer, whether straight verm or a mixture, rather than just misting.

You must have done a lot of reading before this first post. You are missing that "newb vibe" That belt you're wearing...does it have a holster?

DAMN PILLS!!! Sorry... paranoia
Bury your "Oyster mushroom spawn" outside and let it take over a wood pile. Years of picking with no maintenance. Decorative wood chips along park walk ways are nice too! (avoid cedar chips....anti fungal).

haha sorry, no holster on my belt. Only a Corona logo with a beer opener on the back.
I've done the BRF jars song and dance before. Got great results from them. I just figured I'd kick it up a notch with some WBS bags. Variety is the spice of life. Plus, jars dont provide enough cake when it comes down to it. One bag is roughly equivalent to 3-4 jars. Them jars dont grow on trees ya know?
I think I will be going with the Coir as a substrate, then throwing Jiffymix or just straight up verm on the hoe.
Now this leads me to another question, should I microwave the coir in the same fashion as I would for a casing? Or is there another way to use coir as a substrate?
I would go the horse poo route, but people can tell if them pink oysters are grown in crap or not. Everyone wants their oysters to smell like glitter and ponies and myspace.com

Pasteurize the coir: RR's tek is ingenious. To sum it up, put your coir in quart jars or an oven bag or something, throw it in your PC with some cold water in the bottom, heat to boiling with the weight/pressure riser off, shut off heat source. Wait 30 minutes, repeat, let cool. Just about foolproof, I think, and not half as messy as some methods.

Even better than Jiffymix is Miracle-Gro Moisture Control (MGMC) or an equivalent potting mix with water-retaining ingredients. Just take it out of the bag, wet it and microwave it, then case it down over your WBS/Coir substrate.
