Habitat: in cow fields not on shit but rather growing from the ground
Gills:they start pinkish and over aging become purple and then brown
Stem:off white ,kind of like cellery in the way it breaks if u squeeze it
Cap:light, and dark Brown mix, kind of rought top ,not smooth
Spore print color:turn out a darkish brown
Bruising: No color change was observed.
Location: in dallas, georgia north of the atl
none were very tall either ,like 3-4 inches maybe maybe a little more
as i said picked in a cow field i dont know where i can find a gallery to find a pic i have no camera but if u think u may have a pic i could identify if it is the right kind
the cap is also very thick,as is the stem it seems very "fruitful" and smells edible, but i wanna be as sure as possible so please reply soon =]

Your mushroom is in the genus Agaricus. Some species of Agaricus are edible while others are poisonous. None are psychoactive.

N Georgia (N Fulton) here too. It just rained for about 2 days straight. But temps are not high yet. Low 40's at night I think, upper 50's and 60's during the day. Hopefully it will heat up soon and those shrooms will start poking up. All I found yesterday were 2 non-actives. But it got me excited at least seeing some mushrooms. I am not sure what they were though.

It's still a little early. It'll rain for a day or two, be sunny, then the next day the temp will drop 15 degrees. Damnit Georgia!

Yeah. Georgia's weather is so freaking random. Especially that hurricane the other week. Soon it will be steady though. How is the summer for picking? This is really my first season that I actually know some things. I am still new though. I got some nice cow fields that I have access to.

Georgia and Alabama, both. I went picking 2 days ago when the temp was in the low 70s, overcast was 100% and a light fog was present. The weather that day was absolutely awesome - it felt like I was walking through a scene of Silent Hill. I found no actives, though

Perhaps you guys would lead more fulfilling lives as Weather Reporters??
Seriously, no one cares about the weather in your area, except the people in your area!
If you're that curious, go outside and look, or better yet:

I enjoy a good joke, especially the ones directed at me.... But that wasn't very funny. I didn't even crack a smile.
My original point stands, and it not aimed at anyone in any region specifically, rather, it is for those who decide to carry on about their local weather for numerous consecutive posts.
This is even more off topic now.
