 My Rad-tastic First Monotub

Made my first monotub the other day and I just thought that I would share some pics of my success. It is 3 quarts of either Malabar or Mazatapec spawned at ~3-1 with 70/10/10/10 coir/coffee/verm/gypsum. The rye quarts that I used as spawn fully colonized in about 8 days, from a MS inoculation. Extremely rhizomorphic shit, and I think this accounts for the good pin-setting I got. The spawn fully colonized the bulk sub in 3 days.
I think the tub was about 17 gallons.
Nice pin-setting. A little uneven in their timing, but way good, none-the-less.
Another look...
My Seth Pistols. The shit Naxo bindings that I have on there are broken, but I have some new bindings on standby. I'm gonna wait until next season to remount them, because I just got a new pair of Nordica Blowers that I am currently destroying.

was the sub pasteurized, pH balanced? what about casing?

Sub was pasteurized. Casing is 50/50, balanced with hydrated lime.

I just open it. I have a spray bottle to re-up RH when I do. Seriously though, this shit was retarded easy. I may bag the Martha altogether. Here's to hoping you get lucky with the aggressive strain..

how many days from pinning to that photo have elapsed?
looks good but whenever I use the same type of tub I get fat ass oompa loompas so all future monos require a clear top for me.

~4 days. I'm going to wait 3 more and harvest. As far as light is concerned, I did this tub on a whim and if I continue in this vein, I will adjust the plans to accommodate accordingly for light. Right now, it's just getting ambient daylight in my bedroom.

wow, thats crazy! My equadors pinnednearly 5 days ago and still are only about 30% of the size of yours.

Nope.. Just fucking around. Though, I poured my first agar last night, and cloned from the mushroom that was the first pin. We'll see how it goes. I'll probably make a simple LC clone too, in case I fuck up the agar.. which is likely. I want to preserve this strain.

720 grams wet. Looks like I'll probably get another dry ounce and a half from the next flush as well. That's okay with me. Big mushrooms, too.
