a kitty was wondering if using a honey water mixture instead of plain water or spring water to dunk cakes with would help with larger yeilding flushes?

Never heard anything about honey. I do know that people have tried milk dunks with varying levels of success. If it were me, I would just dunk in plain water.

I'd avoid doing this personally. One of my hobbies is - believe it or not - beekeeping so I'm a little familiar with honey and it's properties. Honey is a natural antiseptic, and would actually slow down, if not completely stop the propagation of the mycellium. I have some further circumstantial evidence of this from my mead (honey wine) brewing days. Honey is notoriously hard to ferment, as the yeast (another fungus) has a very hard time taking hold in the solution. Normally, we'd have to add some yeast boosters to get the fermentation to start at all. So, I'd recommend foregoing the honey.

True

> and would actually slow down, if not completely stop the propagation of the mycellium

False. If this was true we would not beable to use Honey Water. Which i have used and works great. Other than the fact that Mold and bactira also love it. mix some honey and water and leave it out for a week and show me nothign grew on it.

I of course would not try a pure honey dunk that my cause some problems but diluted you should be ok. this will increase chance of contams and i belive that the honey it self will not be absorbed that much. it may be a better itdea to try this with the resivour tek.
