A 2-part series ... post which you like better:

I like this one better just because of the heavy contrast of blue and black:

The second ... it?s a bit more busy (maybe too busy?):

Nice, yes, I like the first one. The second feels a bit "washed out".

I agree.

That's really really cool shit by the way.

I agree...that first one looks real badass. I like the color scheme of the second one, but I don't think it goes with the design at all. Something like that would probably work better in a bubble or swirl type pattern (at least it seems like it would) but with the pic (if that's the right term) you're using I think a sharp contrast is almost necessary.

I really like them both a lot.  The first one has a fantastic colour scheme, but I find the second one captivating.  I'm saving them both to use as wallpaper

Can I just asked how you made these pics by the way?  Any chance you could tell us what you started out with, and what filters you used to achieve these effects?

I used Adobe Photoshop 6.0 ... most of the work I do is done manually, I do filter effects by myself rather than using the ones included in the package, when possible ... I started with a black background as I always do, then added endless layers of different colors, each layer light so the effect is subtle but intense ...at a certain point I beveled it with a round curve so as to make it seem like it's coming out at you, and then added a minor swirl filter ...

Sorry I can't say for sure, I don't remember how I did it exactly, but next time I will make a tutorial as I do it ...
