i dont think the vendors have anything like that, but you should try looking on a pet medical supply company. im looking at a 35ml syringe that i found through a quick search using yahoo.com, 30 for $12 not too bad. PM me if you want the website.

Why don't you make your LC in something as large as a quart jar and use one of these - http://www.mycosupply.com/cgi-bin/shopper.cgi?preadd=action&key=INGU01

hmmmmm those seem pretty interesting. is it harder to maintain sterililty than with syringes? i dont have a flowhood yet, probably wont until i move into a house, dont really have room for that much bulk in the apartment.
im definately going to invest in one when i have room to do a considerable amount of bulk.

To sterilize an inoculation gun you simply boil it for 10 - 12 minutes just like you would to sterilize a baby's bottle.
The nice thing is you can do LARGE amounts, larger than any single syringe because you can run the tube from the gun into any container. Working with a 1/2 gallon size jar of liquid culture could do MANY spawn bags/jars. You can also do them faster and in less time than with a syringe.

I believe they can fit a luer lock syringe but I'm not 100% sure. Sadly, we don't sell them separately, they come to use in a complete package.

actually those are the same basic type that royer sent me....
UDDER INFUSION needles.
not sure what gauge but they are, but they are like 3 3/4 inches long...
and are perfect for LC's.

Google "flavor injector" for the types of needles RK is talking about. They are used to inject marinades into turkeys and stuff. The syringes are usually autoclavable too, so you wouldn't need to buy them seperately.

thanx. ill try that out as well.
WELL, i got grahams 60cc syringe the other day and did some LC work today. sweet jeebus that thing makes it SOOO much easier.
now if i can find a longer luer lock needle to fit it im golden.
i have no clue if it will work, but i should get it early next week, got it for $5, ill see if its worth a damn, its called a "Prostate Seed Implant Needle, 18G x 8" Metal Hub" its plenty long enough, im just hoping it is a decent size cc, because its a metal hub and i know it wont fit a luer lock.
also got my hunny trying to snag some spinal needles tonight from work.

awesome, ill check that out as well.
my fiancee came home with some spinal needles from the hospital on saturday for me, however she works in pediatrics so the largest needles they have are 22ga 3", they are definately a step up from the regular needles in length, but i dislike any guage larger than 18.

well, for what it's worth I've never seen a need for any needle longer than 1.5 inches.
can you not tip the jar?
I don't see what's so hard about tipping a jar. Honestly.
With a 1.5 inch needle I can drain every drop out of a jar, pretty easily.
And try keeping a longer needle always covered in an alcohol wrap. Or try keeping it always red hot...
long needles just make life harder, not easier.
In my world anyway...
