 i'm finally doing it

the commercial space i've been waiting on has opened up, i've succesfully talked down the current tennant to a affordable price, and it is now time to sign the papers and take the next step.
a friend and myself are opening a music venue/bar in a college town that currently has no music venues (plenty of bars though). i think it will be a big success, since we're filling a void that people have been screaming about for a few years now. i'm really going to bust my ass to make sure this works out though. if it does, it'll be the first of a long line of businesses i hope to open in the future. it's a very exciting time in my life. my biggest ambition to date is about to become a reality! wish me luck everyone.
also, we're currently trying to think of a good name. we've got some good ones, but i'd figured i ask this crowd since it's a smart and creative one. FYI, the club is going to a music venue primarily for regional touring bands, but with plenty of local bands and some national touring bands eventually. we'll have indie rock/punk, jam bands/bluegrass, and probably some underground hip hop too. so, if anyone has some good suggestions for a name i'd love to hear them.

very cool, i would love to do the same one day. college towns has to have a local jam. what are some of the names you have so far...kinda give us an idea what you are leaning towards. Good Luck!!!

thanks guys. i'm really excited about this.
you won't be seeing much of me next month because i'm going to be working my ass off to get this place ready to open in may. if we can open in may we can maybe have a good initial month before the slow summer rolls around. the summer will give us time to work out some kinks, but it'll suck overall since a lot of the kids will go home. i'd much rather open in the fall, but it's just not possible. if i pass up this place, i might have to wait another year for the right space to open up, and by then someone else might steal our idea.
bar names damnit! we need names!

on the little list in front of me i have: the ripchord, the chocolate chip monk, the pitt (it's an underground place), the upside down dog, and mcaverty's alibi 
there's a bigger, joint effort list, but it's not her with me. i kind of like the chocolate chip monk th most i think.
the spot is cool, but a bit generic. so is "the pitt" though i suppose.

what about "flawed utopia", there is nothing more inviting than perfection that is a little rough around the edges or just utopia for straight up perfection

good stuff guys. i appreciate the help. i think i like 'the train wreck' and 'ineffable' the best so far.

also i know a badass place called "the reverb" wouldnt be original, but sounds underground and has musical connection. also smooth coming out of the mouth
