Hot Plate - Low Boil

My 1000w hot plate brings a pot of water to a very minimal boil. Small bubbles emerge with a lot of steam. I was wondering if this is sufficient for sterilization of 1/2 pint jars for LC. The pictures are mostly full of steam but they may help.

No not LC. No not jars I don't think. LC for sure though, you need a pressure cooker.

While I find a good PC off ebay or somewhere. I bought a 8qt presto PC (bad idea) so now I'm looking for one thats 16, and I've read AA is a good one..

You won't go wrong with an AA. It'll last a lifetime as long as it's not dropped or shit like that. Metal to metal seal so you won't have to worry about replacing the pc after a decade of use or even shorter depending on how much you use it. Watch Ebay Like A Hawk and message people and let em know your situation, some people don't know what to do with it and just sell it for $1..of course it'll gradually increase in price. Be polite and nice and ask people, there more then likely just trying to get some money for it without knowing it's voluability. I got my AA925 off ebay for $75.00 including the shipping.
