I don't really like using p2g when downloading torrents, any other suggestions for programs that could do better? Tor? And on a side note I just would like a set up to be as secure as I can on my comp, proxy set up etc., any other essential programs that can help maximize security but still give me some what of a normal experience online and off?

uTorrent has a good built in ip blocker, you make/download an ipfilter.dat file from the pg2 files, and load that into uTorrent, then you have a better feeling of being safe. Even peer guardian 2 is only going to do so much for you.
Proxies on the other hand seem like a great idea, but I am no help in that department.
usenet FTW.

pg2 is a pretty good program tbh. the only thing about it is it only uses 4/20 list. u need to go into your list manager and 1 by 1 add the other 16 list. if u do that and only use private trackers, u should be fine. remember, proxies only work when a warrant doesn't.

well that'll protect you from known ip ranges, but there's nothing stopping riaa, mpaa, naacp from using residential connections w/ dynamic ip's to monitor torrents. Then you couldn't distinguish them from others in the swarm... even after the fact they'll just get a new IP... if people block the whole IP range, they'll just use another ISP
Not saying its a bad idea, I'd imagine its only marginally useful though.
