Incubation Chambers : Best or Worst Methods?

Hey Guys,
I am about to inoculate my jars, and after that I was wondering what you all think is the best method for incubation during the grow period? For Mycelium growth in the jars I mean. Any tips to keep humidity up while letting the Mycelium grow or container ideas you all might have. Thanks!
Any ideas would be most helpful, as I am about at that step and would like to be as prepared as possible.
Also, my budget is around $50.00 for the purchase items for the incubation chamber. What would work best?

I am using a simple TiT setup. Two rubbermaid tubs (same size) and a small fully submersible fish tank heater (with suction cups) and I glued the suction cups down to the bottom of the outer tub. Once you get the water level and temp set you can zip tie the tubs so they dont float.I drilled 4 holes (one inb each corner) and zip tied them. I have my setup in the basement and it is a lil chilly down there so I put my TiT inside another slightly larger tub with a blanket for insulation and a blanket sitting on the top lets it get a lil warmer in there without messing with the heater. So far it is working very well. Good luck Peace.

I use the exact setup creekfreek uses. 2 small tubs 5-10$ ,Aquarium heater 100WATT-110WATT 25-30$ (You need to be sure it's not a cheap low level aquarium heater) If you buy the 50-75WATT type they won't have enough power to heat the amount of water you need and you'll have to use 2. Five extra bucks will get you the 100WATT heaters. Don't buy the glass ones. I did that and it broke the first day.
Thats pretty much it. So that should be about 50$ exactly after tax. Hope it works out for you as well as they have worked for me.

for real... if its a comfy temp in ur house for you, then it is comfy for your mushie... you can cause problems if you heat them, because it will make the moisture sweat out of the substrate... I only use my heating pad and thermostat when it gets really cold... and even then, I leave it set at 75.. and it stays there, give or take a few degrees...
what is the temp and weather like where you live? that will help us tell you if you NEED an incubator, or if you will see better results, and easier results, from leaving them at room temp...

I have a small space heater for my snake's cage. a few feet in front of that sits perfectly at 80 degrees and that's where my jars are. covered them with a towel to keep the heat in and the light out. if your house is at 75 degrees or better then just put them in a drawer or something. no need to go and buy stuff for incubation if you don't have to. heating them might boost mycelium growth by a few days or a week at most or something which is nice, but not necessary. Keep it simple. good luck bro.

I am using a 50 watt heater and it heats my TiT just fine. I do have it inside another tub with a blanket in it but thats not really necessary. The thermostat on it is set fairly low for where the temp is actually at.

I use an aquarium with foam insulation around it. I have a half gallon glass bottle with a fish tank heater in it for heat. I keep a thin layer of water in the bottom of the aquarium to keep the incubator from getting bone dry and drying out my jars. It also helps disperse heat more evenly.

How much water do you add with that setup? Just enough so that the top tub doesn't float?

Any more suggestions? Thanks guys!

Yeh 75 Degrees? Dont't even worry about an incubator. Just put them in cabinet or something and save 50 bucks.

Room temperature. I used to mess with coolers and heat bombs but I don't bother anymore. Takes a little longer but you aren't limited by the size of the incubator. If you really need some heat put em near the water heater or in the cupboard over the fridge.
