Food dehydrator experiment

Nessco Food Dehydrator, No setting model.
Running empty-
Temperature after 10 minutes - 99.6 F Temperature after 20 minutes - 106.9 F Temperature after 30 minutes - 116.5 F Temperature after 40 minutes - 121.3 F Temperature after 1 hour of use 121.4 F
Goal-
To ascertain an idea of how much, if any, potency is lost during higher heat method of drying.
Exec-
2 sets of 28.6 grams (ounce) P.Cubensis tequila spikes (wet)
Set #1 1 hour of drying time in Running Nessco Food Dehydrator at around 110-120F ensued by 2-4 hours of drying time Non Running time at around room temp.
Set #2 Low temp. Low fan setting, Air dry method (on a screen with water collector under) 68-71 F 12-24 hours (not sure how long it will take).
Hypo- I believe the Nessco drying method will provide a faster dry time with no significant loss in potency.
Note: I dried one small batch, about 10 grams (wet) with Nessco... after one hour they were almost completely dried out.. after letting them sit for a couple more hours they were ready for storage.
I understand these results will not merit scientific credibility.
Will Edit Results.

Thats great and all but more advanced one here already know this to be true. Good luck trying to get the noobes to listen.
We all know that the high heat seers the outside of the mushrooms and locks in all the active compounds

either way I'd be interested to hear your results.
Just out of curiosity how do you plan on measuring potency? And don't forget to factor in tolerance.

I don't have the patience to dry at less than 145 degrees anymore.

Another dehydrator thread, huh?
For the experiment to have more credibilty, the dried mushrooms should have been grown from an isolate or cloned specimen. With multispore there will be varying potency from fruit to fruit, batch to batch.

Yup. But that is neither here, nor there. People cook fresh mushrooms on pizzas in ovens at 350 degrees. I doubt that they would do this if the heat was an issue.
