Perlite? Does brand name really matter?

Heyya all,
Honestly this is my very first post, and as a amateur shroomer I have a question about perlite before I embark on the truly spic journey of growing mushies.
I understand that one of the best ways to keep your fruiting chamber humidity up is to use perlite. I recently went out to Lowes and bought some, but its Miracle-Gro perlite. I have no idea if there might be a difference in this obviously more expensive brand name of perlite as compared to average, off-brand. I am asking to see if there might be anything different in the name brand perlite, or if there might be anything that could have been added to this expensive brand name that i might not want in my shrooms. I understand that big agriculture companies sometimes pump minerals and such into them for growing PLANTS, but seeing as I plan of growing mushrooms will (if anything) the perlite that I purchased have aything I might want to avoid? That might stunt the growth of the shrooms or inhibit them in any way.
Same questions refers to Vermiculite. I also bought a semi brand name of it, and is there anything that i should want to avoid when it comes to picking theses products for my shrooms?
Any advice is most welcomed

Nope brand name doesn't matter. Also, the perlite shouldn't ever touch your shrooms.

i think perlite is messy and stupid. but for cakes you kinda need it, any kind should be fine, just make sure its not treated with anything like pesticides and such. i found that the smaller grained perlite is more sufficient.
as far as verm, make sure its a medium grade, any kind will do its just ive had more success with the medium kind.
oh yeah, and one thing you want to avoid, is getting caught.

Wow, Thanks guys for the quick replies!
I know that perlite should never touch the mushrooms and I will take great care to ensure this. I head that before placing cakes down, that a small square of alluminum foil works well to keep the barrier between them.
Also, as for the verm, would it say on the package that pesticides are added? I am going to sterilize the cakes before inoculation, would that remove or kill anything that would or could cause a problem?
Thanks again for the prompt responses!

I use verm straight out of the bag, no problems here. I use the horticultural stuff too.

There is the mircle grow perlite that is fortified with miracle grow. I would stay away from it becasue it is not neccessary and adds to the mess factor. Im sure there is also a risk of the fertilizers comeing in contact with the mycelium and causing damage. so stay away from the mircle grow fortified perlite.
