small and big casings...
    #814439 - 08/13/02 08:43 AM (16 years, 4 months ago)

say if someone had 6 cakes ready to be crumbled and case.....well would the tottal yeild be the same if they put all the cakes into one big casing or split it up into two cake casing in 3 different containers?? im asking because it seems that if i just do a one cake casing then i get a big yeild for only being one cake..if i do a larger casing ...say 3 or 4 cakes, seems like not as great of yeild compared to if i spilt them up...what ya guys think??

I would definately split them up into 2 cake casings. I found the smaller size disposable aluminum bread pan was the perfect size for this. I'm not sure if 3 of these pans would yeild more than a single 6 cake casing. But the real advantage to having the 3 pans instead of 1 is if there is some contamination. If the 6 cake casing gets contaminated you could lose the whole thing as opposed to just 2. peace

if all the cakes were in ONE casing,u would get a bigger yield and bigger flushes. At least that what i was told!
But u risk losing all the cakes if u mess up and get any mold. How good r u ?? If ur a newbie, split them into
2 casings with 3 cakes a piece...if u've done several casings b4 with good success, go for it all!!!
Heck,case with poo

I say do 2 casings with 3 cakes for each. Do a coco coir casing for one and do a basic verm for the other!
