Well Psilocybe caerulipes has been piked on several ocassions in Cincinnati, Ohio in public places in gardens growing from soil and woodchip mulch. The stems are pure white and turn or bruise blue after handdling. OR from bug bites. Mj The season is June and July and early August.

That's at least hopeful news for me MJ, as I have had absolutely no luck in my attempts to find any Pan. Subbs so far this spring. Good to know I might yet be able to find something else later in the summer. Ankh

I believe that was answered above. I knew of Panaeolus subbalteatus (Spring), Gymnopilus spectabilis [Big Laughing Gym] (Autumn), and now I have hope for Psilocybe caerulipes, this summer. That's pretty much all I have heard of in this region. Ankh

That strange song by the weirdos Tenacious D is reminiscent of an Amanita muscaria mushroom and one of its many effects. One: In the moonlight, all red Amanita muscaria mushrooms appear as a silver color. This is also mentioned in the vedic hymn in the tenth mandala of the Rig Veda. And Two: Flying is one of the symptoms of an entheogenic experience, at least the feeling of flying. Mj, I saw the big "D" on tv and thought they were more obnoxious than humorous. mj
