Whats up everyone! first post here! So my friend is about to start his first grow project. he is planning on using a mycobag and has studied everything about how to do it from inoculation, mashing it up, keeping it at around 85 and in dark until it is all white, then keeping it at around 75 and exposed to sunlight 12/12 hours a day, so he is ready to go and about to order his supplies. He is getting his mycobag from mycofactory.com, as they seem pretty reliable, and is getting the grain bag the new improved one with virgin coffee grounds added. His only question is about strain. He has read that cambodian and Ecuadors grow best and the most fast in grain in what not, and thats all good and all, he just is really interested in this strain on spores101.com called Ban Nathon. It is an Asian strain, he really likes all things asian and this intrests him alot, so hes wondering how this strain would grow in the improved grain mycobag as opposed to say, ecuador or cambodian.
since it is his first project, should he just stick to cambodian, ecuador or B + since everyone seems to say they are the most guaranteed to grow and the fastest, or does it even really matter what strain of cubensis it is? does Ban Nathon have less of a chance to grow, is it any slower, and anyone had any experience growing Ban Nathon, Mycobag or not?
thanks i know that was a long post and all just tryin to help my buddy out so this project can roll smoothly! thanks in advance!

~Don't incubate your spawn, especially not mycobags...the internal temp. of the bag will actually exceed the external temp.
Here is the Strain discussion thread; starting new threads on strain discussions isn't allowed because new members do it every single day. http://www.shroomery.org/forums/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/7955073/an/0/page/0/gonew/1#UNREAD

~To reiterate, Since this comes up so often, do not bother with incubation. Bags, jars, whatever, should be kept at room temperature. Hopefully not below....oh, let me guess, 72degrees. Good luck with your grow. ~Pixie~

So-called strain is irrelevant. They all have the same growth requirements, and nobody can tell them apart by looking, testing, or in most cases, microscopy. Use the strain thread for strain questions please. RR

75 degrees or so that is when you want the fruitation to start right? shouldnt you keep it at like 80 something for the first period of it turning white? or will room temperature work the whole time and all you need is light? thanks ...

Let me just add, i recently got some syringes from Spores101, and they were a bit skimpy. The spore count within the syringe seemed to be lacking- imma noob, and these were my first syringes, but I still think they were weak on spore count; I've also hear likewise from another.

Unless you used a microscope, I would bet that there are still thousands of spores floating around in your syringes. Just b/c you can't see them doesn't mean they're not there although spores101 isn't a sponsor anymore for a reason.
p.s. spores101 isn't a sponsor anymore. don't threadjack.
