So yeah, I Fanned my shrooms yesterday about 6pm, second flush.. looking fairly healthy, not too large, but decent looking... I come back in about 10 minutes ago to check on them and fan em and most of em were droppin spores... theres purple/blackish shit everywhere.... they didnt really drop any on the first flush... is this normal?
Cheers

As sometimes mushrooms produce sporeless fruits on later flushes, it's sometimes the other way around. It's pretty common for PE to develop more spores on later flushes...
When it's all purple/black, you should harvest soon!

I hate when my FC turns purple. Takes forever to clean the damn thing.

Yeah, they were all ready for harvesting, they weren't that big but they were quite pretty, very healthy looking.
I didn't have any others in the process of growing so I figured i'd dunk 'em again.
I heard if you dunk after the 2nd flush you can get more out of your 3rd and/or final flush because it replenishes moisture and the cold-shock helps 'em too.

Although cold shocking is something else, it doesn't help to fruit.
It's correct that a slight drop of temperature helps initiating pinning (therefore an FC shouldn't be as hot as the incubator), but the coldness of a fridge doesn't benefit any tropical species!
Cold shocking in the true sense of the word means to drop the temperature for more than 10 degrees for a period of several days.
It only works for cold weather species!
Anyway, dunking is the way to go, since mushrooms mostly consist of water and need it to grow...
