its totally free set up a profile and type in what bands you like and it lets you listen to them and stuff that sounds like them. its an amazing way to find new artists that you would never hear of otherwise. you can hear just about any band you can think of. http://pandora.com check it out

Pandora's pretty nice but the tracks get repetitive after a while and you end up hearing the same shit over and over.

It;s kind of hit or miss for me. I've been listening to it off and on since it began quite some time ago. Sometimes it plays a lot of stuff I really like, other times it plays a bunch of crap. Overall though it has helped me find a lot of new musicl.

I love Pandora... but I'm trying to find the OLD site they based their technology on.... the Music Genome Project.
It used to be... you'd type in a band and then all these similar bands would hover around the name of it... then you could click on a nearbyband and see what bands are similar in a drilldown-follow-the-link kinda way... and it's all based upon user feedback
