This is straight rye with a 50/50 casing layer. My pins have been stalled on the first flush for about 5 days now instead of doubling in size each day! I gave them high humidity and plenty of fresh air. Maybe their low on water. Im going to keep the casing under water (except for the top where the pins) are for about a day. If that fixes it next time I'll add some vermiculite to the grain to get a nice rez effect. Anyone have any other suggestions?

you do not dunk casings. Just mist it with a spray bottle

Keeping the casing under water for a longer time would and high temps probably result in mold or in the death of the mycelium.
As Tahoe said, misting is the way to go with casings!
Since you say you give do lot's of FAE, it looks like your problem is the specific genetics of the mushroom, which is something you can't do anything about, at least not, when working with multispore inoculation.

Thanks for the tips. I'm dumping out the water and spraying now instead. The rye got a multispore inoculation with Burma spores. The mycelium seemed strong but the shrooms... Hopefully the genetics of the next batch are better or maybe the spraying will help.

What a coincidence! Beside some vintage Aussie spores, a grow of Burma was the only one for me to develop THAT small fruits.
Plenty, yes, but they were tiny, just like yours:

Anyway, normally Burma grows regular sized fruits, with a tendency to larger ones, so I repeat myself, when saying it's the specific genetics of your strain!

Sounds like the best thing I can do is start a new batch of master grain jars with another multispore inoculation and hope one has the good genetics. Or order different spores. Either way I have a long wait ahead of me.
