Can only Australians, please post pictures of Psilocybe subaeruginosa
so we can all have a look and compare them, and swap info about them.

here(below)is the specs of the sub.



Psilocybe subaeruginosa.
Found throughout Australia and regions nearby. Grows in disturbed habitats on small pieces of wood debris, commonly in gardens on mulches of pinus radiata bark or native Australian hardwoods.

CAP diameter up to 5 centimeters

color "biscuit brown," darker when wet


appearance conical with inturned edge when young,
becomes convex when older


STEM diameter relatively thin

length up to 10 centimeters

color white with occasional Grey/blue/green blotches

appearance conical with inturned edge when young,

becomes convex with older

GILLS form closely spaced, may be attached to stem

color smoky brown/black

SPORES color purplish brown

size 9.5-15 x 6 - 8 x 5.5-7 micrometers

shape ellipsoid, with germ-pore

DOSAGE mushrooms 1-4 (LD), 5-8 (MD), 9-14(HD)

mg/g psilocybin N/A
mg/g psilocin N/A
mg/g baeocystin N/A

nice pics, last year all that i hunted for were aucklandii. but unfortunately i saw sooo many of these subs :frown: I thought they had an orange cap though, so didn't even bother checking.

This year i shall repent my sins!!11

You might have seen Stropharia aurantiaca, which look a bit like subs but definitely are orange. They are more common than anything else.

I disagree man. Unless its due to different conditions, all Stropharia aurantiaca's i find are always bright red.

Not really an issue, but maybe its a Vic thing. We call them red barons. And they are ALWAYS a good sign, everytime i see them i've found subs nearby.
