New idea(or not) for saving spores
    #8124562 - 03/09/08 07:00 PM (16 years, 10 months ago)

I noticed that torn veils carry alot of spores within the tissue. So I decided to start saving them. Realize, when I do this I work with the best of my abilities to maintain sterile procedure, and I have access to sterile specimen containers. With sterile hemostats I took pieces of the torn veil and placed them into a sterile container. Later when I wanted to use them (again sterile as possible) I took a piece out, opened a syringe, dropped the piece into the syringe, expelled the air, then sucked up some sterile water, shook vigorously, then 'nocked up some PF tek jars. It has worked 2 times so far. I did it all in a glove box. Easier than taking a print? I think so.

Easier? Maybe, but you can't mail veils.

jonny law says you cant mail a veil. it, unlike the spores may contain psilocybin and or psilocin. but for personal use cool idea.
