hang drying?

someone told me to dry my shroomies upside down, by threading a piece of thread through the stem. he said that the "chemical in the mushrooms" will drain into the caps making them more potent. i told him i didnt think that is true, and i am not goona string up hundreds and hundreds of mushrooms. sounded stupid to me. thats why i stick to my research instead of listening to people who never have grown before.

no no no, that's dumb.
Dry them with a fan and if you want after fanning them for 24 hours use desiccant.

my friend hangs his. not to make them more potent.....that's just the way he dries them. i don't even bother telling him how much easier it is to fan dry then desiccant for a day or two. he's hard headed. plus the thought of him stringing up hundreds of mushies makes me snicker under my breath.

Hey go ahead and snicker, it's the way I do it too. Reminds me of Christmas as a kid, making popcorn and cranberry garland. And it looks bitchin' cool when you have 'em all strung up, hangin' all over the damn place. Hey, I have the time, and the space.

People dry there marijuana hanging upside down, becuase t provides the best airflow around the plant, and because if it was right side up, as the plant dried the branches would bend and break off, causing a big stupid mess, and very unprofessional looking buds.
To each their own.
Next Christmas my tree has hanging shroomies, I swear

that technique is perfectly acceptable to dry mushrooms but don't expect the caps to become more potent, that's just ridiculous and illogical.

Everyone knows that the spores have all the magical stuff in them. If you hang them standing up the cap will drop spores over the whole mushroom and it will be stronger.

I do not know why people do not believe it. It has seriously been said hundreds of times here but people do not believe it.
Now direct misting on cakes has been said to hurt cakes which is not true but people do not believe it. Heat has been proven not to hurt mushrooms but people do not believe it.
So why not, its misinformation and I am going to spread it. people do not want to hear the truth

is a dehydrator really a practical way to dry shrooms? it would be awesome to dry them that way, but everytime i turn around someone is saying it hurts potency. what if you run it without heat, just the fan(if thats possible).
