So heres the deal my buddy was growing some mushrooms had to leave the country for awhile and left them with me. Theres a few problems with this though I dont know what the substrate is made up of, the chamber it came in is nothing ive ever seen in a guide.
Now theres a few thing I do know is that it is an Ecuadorian strain and thats about it.But I have a few questions first the mycelium was growing at a good rate and has slowed down the past few days. Second since the dchamber is nothing ive ever read about so i took a chuck of the substrate out of the old chamber and created a new one.
Heres some pics:
Heres the original container:

Heres the chunk i took out and put in a different chamber:

Well from the looks of it, its a monotub attempt of straw and shredded straw. I dont see white fluffy growth like any spawn mixed into it, if its not colonized with mycellium it wont grow boomers. You need to incubate it at around 80 degrees to promote growth, 67 degrees isnt going to promote much of anything.
If i were you id throw it away and start all over with docs WBS tek and some Z strain from a reputable supplier via money order or cash.
Build a real incubator out of 2 huge plastic totes, and a 40 watt fishtank heater, rip that thermometer off that foam cooler and put it in your incubator and get it to 80 degrees.
keep the foam cooler to pasturize straw and poo in. im sure you'll figuer the rest out.

are there woodchips or sawdust in that substrate? i cant really tell from the pics.
im not seeing any healthy mycelium. also looks like it may be too wet, and you certainly dont need to put it in that chamber you have, you dont need to be introducing fresh air exchange and additional humidity during the colonization process.
put some aluminum foil over the tray and stick it in a closet for a couple of weeks, from the looks of it I'm doubtful you will see any results but thats about your best option at this point

If your not farmilier with the basics of growing mushrooms, you can do a google video search and find some pretty general videos.
http://video.google.com/videosearch?hl=en&q=grow+mushrooms&um=1&ie=UTF-8&sa=N&tab=wv
you may find it easier to build a general outline of the process before diving into it.
