Indoor psilocybe cyanescen ?

Has anyone had success growing psilocybe cyanescen indoors if so what techniques were used? Why is it so hard to grow them indoors if the procedure and conditions are done properly? I’m sure vendor prints aren’t from outdoor patches.

Do you mean panealous cyanescen?
I believe that psilocybe is just another cube.

I haven't grown these yet, but I am definately interested as i've just recently discovered a cheap source of wood chips. Alder is reccomended. But from what I gather, the actually grow around here (scotland, so) the can cope with pretty low temperatures; indoors might just be too hot. Do some research

I'm pretty interested in growing this species as it is supposed to be much more potent than the P. cubensis. I don't know of anyone who has grown them, but I did find a few guides here on the shroomery.

That should be some good food for thought. Good luck.

It seems like this thread is talking about three different kinds of mushies now...
I'm so confused, psilocybe, panealous, and now a link to azure's indoors...

Pan cyans are relatively easy to grow indoors and can be grown using compost or manure.
Psilocybe Cyans are more difficult to cultivate and require wood chip based substrate.
Azures are much more difficult to grow and often resist indoor cultivation all together, they tend to do much better in the wild. Thats not to say they can't be grown indoors, its been done, its just more difficult than the average species.
And as we all know cubes are about the easiest thing there is to grow.

What are you even asking about psilocybe or panealous?

You can spawn and colonize the trays indoors, but they need temperatures in the 50's to fruit, so the trays are usually moved outside during the appropriate time of year when the temps are right for fruiting.
These were spawned to woodchips that were allowed to colonize indoors on an open shelf at normal room temperature for three months, and then moved outdoors to get the correct temps for fruiting of upper 30's night, and 50's daytime. Just about everyone who has grown cyan/azures reports the side pinning that you see here. Definitely not a species for new growers. RR

RR, Did you throw some dirt on top of that tray??
I have seen photos of tubs grown outdoors with awesome results. I have seen great pinning across the whole thing and not just side pinning. These tubs were just straight wood chips.
I also have azure, cyanescens, and an unknown ps growing in tubs. I have found that these things do great on Douglas fir and it is a shit load cheaper than alder.
Here are the azures.

Mjshroomer posted some pics of an indoor cyanescens operation before. There were huge trays of cyans on wood chips. Picture a button mushroom farm but with cyan's. I believe it was taken in Holland or somewhere which was not stateside. I have never seen anything besides those pics that was impressive. Many people get pins indoors but at not able to get mature fruit. The one thing I notice about these is that they love good natural humidity. When growing in the wild they do better with a 1/2 day of rain then they do with hourly watering. I have had some stay at 1 inch tall for 3 weeks and fully matured after 1 day of raining. Cubes on the other had do just fine outdoors with hose waterings.
Here is some healthy cyan mycelium
