I'm planing on buying a harmonica soon and start playing. I'm wanting to find songs with amazing harp play and learn of some harp legends... you know any? Do you play?

Hahaha tough song.
Not that you are asking, but I recommend getting a Hohner Marine Band harp to start. They are really easy to bend with.
Beatles - Love Me Do Led Zeppelin - Bring it on Home Bob Dylan - Blowin' in the Wind (almost every other song too)
But you know that you will only be able to play along with a select few songs, since each harmonica is in a different key.

appreciate the suggestion PB wiZard for sure. I was looking online a few mins ago at harps and shit, was the first time i've looked but i noticed that name being brought up abit.
I'm not looking to play along to other songs per-say...just be able to jam out with a few friends while they're playing whatever.. it's so nice that its small and easy to bring everywhere..(sounds like the best thing to get is diaotic? in C)

If your friends are playing guitar, they will probably play in E more often than G (for blues at least), so you would cross harp the E with an A harmonica.
For some reason starter harmonicas are always C though. I guess each key has its own sound, so if you have the opportunity, try a couple out.

I don't know if you're into the folksy sound, but Woody Guthrie has some pretty neat, hearty harmonica bits in his songs. try "Goin' Down This Road Feelin' Bad"
