Question about shaking rye jars + lots of pictures

Well, my dual personality has been growing for about four and a half years now but he never use to shake his rye jars since when he did they'd contam when placed back in the TiT incubator.
Now he is following RR's advise and using a closet with a small portable space heater thats on a timer, the thing is really good for heating a closet.

and here are the jars in question...
Ive shaken them once already, all spawned via G2G (best method to use for cultivation)

So the question is, do these look like they're ready for a second shake? the ones in the back are doing better since they were spawned abit earlier then the ones in the front, I plan on using two to G2G 100 liters of rye... for oyster mushrooms.... yes, oyster
anyways... without further to do. Here is what were all here to see, MYCO PORN! (this tub is taking forever to mature but its progress non the less)

Lots and lots of pins the closer you look

this is bad quality but its a nice cluster of pins....

Take it easy guys, hopefully someone can answer that jar shake question, I'm up in the air about when to shake... So not use to it, but hey... RR, you are the man. My contamination ratio is so far down I can damn well say its 99.8% success rate since I stopped using the incubator, now I use it for fruiting
Take care.

and to think that you laid into Tahoe and said that you had been growing for dozens of years that you were one of the best/smartest people here. Haha

Only shake once during colonization. You'll shake a second time when you break up the grains for spawning. RR

Umm, I never once answered any questions on these forums about shaking rye jars, just because, I did not know from personnel experience, just from what I read.
Tahoe takes bits a peices of information with others pictures and uses them to make himself look like a cultivator.
End of thread, thanks normal840 and RR.

The filter always gets abit wet from excess moisture trying to escape during the preasure cook, I usally let the jars sit out on a table with the foil still on until I see all excess moisture in the jars dry up, usally 8-9 hours sometimes a day. Then I take off the tinfoil and pat dry with a clean paper towel then spray a burst of oust around the area.
I mean, the jars in the picture are doing just fine, lost one to cobweb but thats because I reused the tyvek filters because I'm a cheap skate for buying the suits.
oh... and yea, when you bounce the grains the moisture is on the inside of them so even if a grain hits the opening in the lid where the tyvek filter is it will stay dry, no biggie.
Just make sure the lids are on real tight before shaking.

It was always wetspot.
Anand gave me a bit of advise about why that might have been, having the jars sitting directly on the bottom of the tub, the heat from the heater cause moisture condensation to form inside the jars which led to the failure of many.
I'm going to try placing a plastic rack in to hold the jars up abit higher and see where that gets me for future use. It's always good to have a primary and secondary incubator.

Yes this is so true. I even found someone who had grown some oysters and had him write a little note and take a picture of it along with the oysters. Like I told him before, I do not grow cubes. I work on outdoor stuff. Do you have any idea what this is?

An old oyster log that still is fruiting
 Just for fun

Nothing to see here but you can compare to the pic form a few months back
Same area but a few months back

Do you even know what these are?

These are a few months back, note the leg on the bird bath.

After, please note the cement leg on the bird bath. its buried in the 3 inches of fresh chips I just added. Do not underestimate the skills

Can you go into a little more detail about your incubator problems?
I'm trying to figure out how i'm going to store my spawn jars and this is the first time i have ever heard anything negative about incubating spawn jars.
thanks
