I have never and will never use a screen in a glass piece.
That defeats the purpose of having a glass piece. Must be a canadian thing.

rinse with peroxide and water then place about a 2'' layer in the bottom of the terrarium for humidity.

Yep exactly.. Just make sure to check on it from time to time. The perlite gives off a tremendous amount of moisture, and without proper air flow you will start to see droplets building up on the top of your terrarium(not good). Just take note of this and use a hand fan when needed. Peace out.
