I mean do I have to pick all the mushrooms of a flush in one giant sweep or can I pick only ones that have reached my desired maturity as I please? Tips on making sure I get the aborts out of the way? Worry about overlay due to spore release? I believe Ill be studying ecuadors FYI

I think you should pick them all within 24 hours of each other. Don't know why exactly. Possibly because if you didn't the growing fruit bodies might be using to much of the nutrients for the mycelium colony to fruit more.

I notice sometimes while my fruits are maturing new pinheads emerge toward the end. Then I pick the matured fruits and a few days later all the pinheads lose their healthy color and abort. What's the deal with that?

Again, I believe when you harvest you should harvest EVERYTHING and let it begin a NEW flush.

yeah, true. those aborts are a pain in the ass to harvest, half the time just the cap comes off and your left with a hundred small stumps in the casing. Either that or you end up ripping out a bunch of mycelium and then theres these big craters.... not like the easy twist and pull of a full fruit.
