I've had some pf jars sitting for about 2 weeks after being inoculated. There is no growth or signs of germination. No contamination of any kind either. So, I think that my spores were bad.
Can I go ahead and just pc the jars over again and inooculate with other spores?

Better to make new one & don't use the same syringe.

Well, yeah...I planned on using a different syringe with different spores.....just didn't know if it was ok to reuse the jars.

Over time a PF style jars content gets compacted. To compact & it will not colonize worth beans.

Ok......well, I'm up to my ears in spores, so I think I will try it to see if it will colonize.
Thanks for your help.

I'm experiencing the EXACT same problem as you. Two weeks, no colonizing at all. I actually posted my problem immediately after you, but no one responds to my thread. Good luck with yours.

Thanks....I've grown quite a bit of time so I know how long it generally takes and what the jars look like when they germinate and these jars have absolutely nothing. Never had that happen before.
I will just experiment and see. Can't hurt anything.
Good luck wiuth yours also.

Nah, I let them cool to room temperature.
I also innoced other jars from the same pc batch with a different set of spores and those are fine.

Will the levels of radiation from a medical style/airport security/postal securty X-Ray kill spores? surely the levels wont be that high, otherwise it'd be a serious risk for employees?
Does anyone know about this? Im currently on week 2 1/2 of 'shit, I think its the spores' first time its happened to me tbh, and it sucks.
