Cheap Petri Dish Rack

I was wandering around the local Ikea store today and I spotted this sucker:

It's a candle lantern, but when you remove the glass housing and candle holder inside, you get this:

Which perfectly holds a dozen 100x15mm petri dishes. It is fully autoclavable, it raises the petri dishes off of the bottom of the PC and has a nice little handle for lifting it out when you're done PC'ing:

At $7.99 USD, it's much cheaper than most petri dish racks I've seen from online vendors and it's built solid and sturdy. In case anyone wants to pick one up, it's called the "Kvartil" and can be found where all the candle stuff is. If you don't have an Ikea locally, you can also search "Kvartil" on their website and order one that way.
I hope this is beneficial to someone

Sweet! On the same subject, I just came from Fry's Electronics. I was there to buy some computer stuff and I passed an isle that had all this science stuff. There was beakers, flasks, test tubes, and low and behold.....petri dishes with agar media! I was like WTF! They weren't pyrex, but they were glass. Nice find by the way!

Electronic store, huh? I found these tools at Michaels (craft store):

They are for carving clay, but I'm using them as inoculation loops. The set was about $10.

No, paper tape (micropore). It works just as well and it's a hell of a lot cheaper.
