I only say this because if they were 'blue meanies' they would have stained blue after picking them and then you definately would have had a psilocybian mushroom.

Keep trying and do not give up.

When I first moved to Hawaii, I lokked in about 20 little paddockes over a three month period before I finally found some. Tha was on Maui. And everywhere people told me to look therer were none. You just have to hit the field on the right day. Usually Paneolus antillarum does not grow at the same time as the COpelandia's or the Psilocybe cubensis yet they may all three appear in a single manur pile.

The Copelandi's when they fruit are very abundant. anywhere from three to 100 mushrooms or more may appear in a single manure heap. Here are a couple of pictures of Copelandia cyanescens.
