The Mind Twists and Turns

You struggle throughout life trying to find answers to the riddle. You come up with answers for self satisfaction. Once satisfied you go on while no longer questioning the riddle.
Then there are those who realize that this riddle can never fully be understood under our certain circumstances. There are limits to the mind and somethings that you think exist are only a delusion in the mind.
We search and search for answers to this very one riddle.
What is this riddle?
Can it be answered?
Peace, Droz

I think the riddle and the search is much more pronounced due to our concept of linearity and progress. Aldous Huxley discussed this in The Perennial Philosophy. He said throughout history there have been time-philosophers, and eternity-philosophers.
Time-philosophy holds that what is to be attained awaits us in the future. Eternity-philosophy doesn't seek to attain, but seeks to realize that all is already present. Time-philosophy can be very destructive and dangerous, leading to rationalizations of how much we can sacrifice in an effort to obtain the ultimate goal. The only problem is that ultimate goal is a horizon that one never reaches. The horizon retreats at the same speed as you approach it.
So really, I challenge your questions by saying "what riddle?" and thereby removing the need for an answer.
I think that is the ultimate answer to the riddle. The question is "what riddle?" and the answer is losing the need for the question.

We make the riddles and we come up with answers for them. Both of them are the products of our minds. I think it's good to keep that in mind because sometimes we get so confused that we get the feeling that something/someone else is testing us.

I don't think reality is testing us, this is just the Christian god model. However, we do test ourselves.

Think again. Reality is part of existence. If we don't conform to reality, chances are great to not sustain existence
The riddle is: How did you bring up G*D to this ?

Yes reality is part of existence. But what does it have to do with anything? How does this prove that reality is testing us?

I agree but it doesn't mean that it's testing us. It only means that we're unable to observe reality.

I said, existence is testing us. You misquoted it for reality, which is of course true too, but not as far-reaching as I intended.

Hehe, however you will interpret it... that's also part of the riddle, which was the original question of this thread... What is the riddle ?

The point of reality isn't to be tested. It's to experience! How often do we try to look for meaning when in fact we're missing the meaning altogether!

Exactly. Existence mean SO many things, that I am unable to realize what you are talking about. What exactly from existence is testing us and how?

How are existence and reality different at all?
-------------------- “Strengthened by contemplation and study, I will not fear my passions like a coward. My body I will give to pleasures, to diversions that I’ve dreamed of, to the most daring erotic desires, to the lustful impulses of my blood, without any fear at all, for whenever I will— and I will have the will, strengthened as I’ll be with contemplation and study— at the crucial moments I’ll recover my spirit as was before: ascetic.”

There is existence outside of our reality. There are many realities but only one existence.
...just following the topic.

That may be the question to the riddle.

Hmmmm Again, reality, as far as I know, is only one. It is true that sometimes, due to the diversified structure of reality, we might perceive this as the existence of more realities. But this is because we are unable to make the links between one aspect of reality with another. In this case, we're dealing with a reality split, and sometimes we focus so much on adding things to specific categories, that we experience the illusion that the category we've just created is another reality. Far from being so though.

It's a prerequisite of everything (and even nothing), to exist. That's even true for reality. Now, for diversification of realities there are limitless factors. Even within one person there are many realities, not to say each reality for every single person, plant, animal, stone. They whole build stacked realities, which resolve in the one reality of existence, which has many realities, which all separately or together can exist.
