Ok FreshBeat, listen up and listen up good. I just found a huge library of mushroom pictures! And it has a photo of the Gymnopilus aeruginosus species you are looking for. These are my directions: Start here in the shroomery. Go to the shroomerys links. Click on drug related sites. Then click The vaults of erowid. Click under plants and drugs. Then click on mushrooms, in the psychoactive vaults. Then on a little square box across the top that says Mycology. Scroll down to Fungi Images on the net and click on it. And then I think your there. Its all in alphabetical order. Enjoy.

Hi there,

Well this is a rather large orange looking meaty mushroom whi9ch grows prolifically on dead tree stums and rotted woods. This and several related species, 13 to be exact all contain psilocine and psilocybin and some other entheogenic neurotropic compounds like noryangonin and bisnoryangonin, two properties also know to occur in Kava.

This mushroom caused musch discomfort to Japanese peo[ple in the early 1900's and in the Atlantic Northeast of America and in the misdwest USA.

It is very very very bitter tasting and really hard to consume. Usual;luy in a soup or stew alleviates much of the foul taste which is still there in the soup.

It takes alarge amnount of shrooms and there fore is not very desirrable or wanted by collectors.

Not very desirable? Damn, I'd be pretty happy to find some Gymnopilus mushrooms, but then again I'd be happy to find anything. Are these mushrooms legal? Obviously psilocin and psilocybin are illegal, so it would be sort of a grey area I guess.
I know what you could do with these mushrooms if you found them and didn't want them *wink wink* :redface:)
