PO Tyvek is breathable?
    #8072579 - 02/26/08 03:35 PM (13 years, 2 months ago)

The Priority mail and Express mail envelopes I always see at the Post Office seem very 'solid' and not at all breathable.

Are you sure they would { theoretically }allow FAE?

I just put my head inside one and tried breathing. I damn near passed out and probably would've died if I hadn't remembered I could take it off my head at any time.

But really, I've tried breathing 'through it' and ...nothing. Crazy huh?

it gives enough air exchange, cut a piece and put it up to your mouth and breathe, they are made to be breathable and waterproof.

you are a moron!! That being said, they are breathable. Now this means no air tight. This does not mean breathable for humans. Since you are an idiot and you do come across as liking to do stupid shit why don't you cut a 6x6 piece of tyvek out and cover your mouth.
Now lean up to the mirror and exhale. IT will be very slow and seem like nothing is happening. If you can exhale long enough and push hard enough you should see some condensation the mirror.

gas exhange not air exchange. If you cant breathe through it its not going to exchange any air.

I have been using these Tyvek envelopes as a moisture barrier and for gas exchange or air exchange-it's the same thing,
for years now and YES they are breathable and YES they are perfect for use in Mycology to be put under your jar lids for
gas/air exchange and to keep the humidity inside the jar from evaporating----------

How many times does it take to answer that question? YES, YES, YES, YES!

I'm going to get:stoned: and say screw it:dancingshroom:

What do you tell them when they call and ask why you need them?

I ordered 100 and they called to confirm the amount.
