    #8069588 - 02/25/08 06:39 PM (16 years, 1 month ago)

My friends casing has a deep brown with a tint of yellow liquid the size of a half dollar on it. I know this isn't contams Ive seen this before, but should he do any thing or may be crank down the Rh or soak it up with a sterilized pad or you fill in the blank.

Micelia piss,
Leave it alone=don't risk contams.

That's what I would do.

There is no such thing as mycelium piss. It's called Metabolites. It's due to high heat, sweating mycelium. It's fighting off the bacteria as we speak.

Wrong my friend, its caused as a 'waste by-product' of the mushrooms consuming the substrate---it has nothing to do with high heat, sweating mycelium, or from fighting off bacteria. Maybe you need to study a little more before you correct some people. It's nickname is mycelium piss, at least that is what the OMC calls it, the only thing in your statement that I see that is true is this="It's called Metabolites" that is true, but it isn't caused by anything other than the substrate you use-usually Poo or Straw. It is completely harmless to your grow unless there is alot of it and it is hindering your flush/pin set from forming.
