to case or not to case....

I have 10 lbs of HMC that i spawned to from 5 quarts of rye in my monotub. Everything seems to be going well, I have a layer of foil over the colonizing bulk sub, and im waiting for it to be fully colonized before i expose it to fruiting conditions.
My question is, as my first grow, with yields not that important, is it better just to not case it to reduce the risk of contamination and just use wax paper?
I was thinking to maybe use Miracle Grow Moisture Control for the casing layer, but other suggestions are welcome. remember, yield is NOT important, as im hoping for maybe 500 grams wet from all 4 flushes.
Thank you.

If you go the wax paper route, be sure to change it every few days. If you use MGMC (or any other casing layer), be sure to properly pasteurize it. Also, never listen to a Noob .
Seriously, if it is your first grow, and yield is not important, I would (very humbly) suggest using the wax paper. But I'm sure you will be successful with either method...
(just my opinion, not gospel)

i would recommend a 60/40 verm coir casing layer... but it seems that i live in the past sometimes but it always worked well for me. but if you don't care about ur volume. just fruit it

I'd say case. Most casings like 50/50 peat-moss/verm are non nutritive so contamination risk is pretty marginal.
