Niacin Therapy
    #8070682 - 02/25/08 10:56 PM (15 years, 10 months ago)

So recently you've seen a lot of my posts about my mental instabilities.  I was looking around on the interwebs for ways to deal with these issues in a natural healthy way.  I stumbled across this site.  It basically shows the benefits of megadoses of Niacin for various individuals with different sorts of instabilities.  So I just took a gram of niacin(not niacinamide mind you) and am already feeling my mind settle down and a stabilization of myself.  I highly recommend this vitamin for those with mental problems of various nature.  Keep in mind when first taking it you will get a flush and your skin will get itchy, red, and generally unpleasant.  Peace nigs.:macdre:

isn't that supposed to like.. detox you and shit?

you should take like 5-htp or some shit like that if anything at all..

really what i would do is just quit taking shit.. at least so often.. it's not good for ya brain to fck with its chemicals everyday..

make sure you drink lots of water, get exercise and eat well.. that would help more than anything.

here's how i quit smoking: whenever i got an urge to smoke, i would exercise.

like go to some trails and go running or ride my bike and shit.. it was great.

hey watch out there. you just might become a scientologist. the very thing you described is one of the first things you do in scientology.
FYI.

All of my B-vitamins have niacinamide as their B-3 (including my straight Niacin) where do you get "plain" niacin??

Peace and thanks for the article. I love niacin and am a huge believer in it's benefits.

niacinamide is different from straight niacin. You can buy regular Niacin in most grocery stores like Safeway or something. Start out with just 100 mg then work your way up to a gram eventually. You will experience flushing at first but your body will eventually not do it to the same extent at first. peace
